Hello all you XUV people..................id like to drop my 2 cents in, if i may.
first i do not have an XUV as of yet, so i speak purely from truck plowing experience [and a lot of it, lol]
BOSS has just gotten into the XUV market and being a dealer {working for one} i can say they have done their home work, watching what other companies have done and making improvements where they could.
BOSS is a heavier plow but a stronger one IMO
they aren't cheap...........but you will never regret the money invested on a quality piece of equipment
as far as justifying a power-vee VS. a straight blade goes - - a few posts back some one mentioned that they don't swing the plow enough to justify the added cost of a Vee over a straight blade - - i can guarantee if you didnt have to manually move the blade you would move a crap load more, lol. think about the time you could save by not having to maneuver your plowing attacks so you dont have to change a plow blade angle.
i bought my first BOSS plow in a 9'2" straight blade configuration and i plowed exactly 2 times with it and traded it in on a pro-vee .............................now 8 years later im on my 3rd BOSS 9'2" Power-VXT [all the others were sold and are still in service with minimal to no repairs other than service BTW}
i guess what im saying is --- you dont know how much you'll use something until you have it to use - - i can promise you will not be disappointed in a Power Vee plow and it will out perform a straight blade every time
i must say [even though i dont want to, lol ] there are other very good plows out there and i do not wish to cut anyones product down in any way
hope some of my blathering has helped. good luck to any purchasing this season. i can help with any spec questions on BOSS plows if need be please feel free to ask
