I have a Ym2020d and a 1400 (60 inch) Yanmar tiller with the short Yanmar top link. If I use the shorter overrun clutch (non quickchange type) can I use the tiller without removing the clutch from the pto shaft.

I'm going to say no, because it doesnt work on mine(YM2000). I even shortened my shaft before I realized it wouldnt work. Luckily the shaft is still long enough to use.

I have been looking at this and how to remedy it. Removing the clutch is a pain, so I have decided to get a quick disconnect one. I also plan on adding about 6" to the lower mounting points of the tiller and using another(spreader) drive shaft with a shear pin and longer top link to remove the need to change the bracket. I would like to add a slip clutch too, so if it fits the same dimensions of the clutch, it should work out well...When I finally get around to doing it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, I'll post some pictures.
