Is that a 20'' bar on that 372 ?? That saw should scream it a 20'' bar/chain Look at the pics I posted of the tree I cut with my 372XP with a 24'' bar. This was about 100 ft tall sweet gum tree I cut

yes it's a 20" bar and no problems with this , it's even better because more nevrous , the tree that' i cut ist "hard" , the wood is hars like oak

generally i work with the 372 XP and I place either an 20" bar or 24 "

i have also 395 XP with 40 " bar and also no problems ( but generally i work with an 28 " )


really depends of the configuration of the tree , the area working and other factors....

40'' bar ! I think I've only seen tree guys around me use a 32'' max..Don't know that I've seen anyone around here use a 40, and I'm too old to use a 40 !

A 40" bar!!!! there is no way that saw will oil it!! 32" for a 372 is pretty much the limit with 28" beeing a streach!

I run a 20" bar on my 372xp.

I run a 20" bar on my ms650 (84cc) 99% of the time. I have a 24" and a 32" for it as well.

the 40 " bar is for my 395 XP not for the 372 XP

on my 372 XP the bar is 20 " ( 50 cm) or max 22 "

I keep a 24'' on my 372 .. I have run a 28'' on it without any problems.. I have a 20'' on my old 15 yr old 55 rancher
