You could post this on the Yanmar forum and maybe get more replies.
It is my understanding that you could reverse the wheels as you suggest, but it is highly not recommended. It is not recommended for this reason. If you reverse the wheels on the front you create a lot of additional strain on the front hubs and bearings. The wider stance will increase the leverage and wear on expensive front axle parts.
If you need more stability, then I would rather recommend filling the rear tires or added wheel weights.
