Makes no sense why someone would remove front axle driveshaft unless there was a reason...like it's stuck in 4wd?

They took it off to take off oil pan and sold tractor second owner took off head and pulled one cylinder…it spun a bearing..I bought it and replace bearing and piston and rings and got it running..next project is to find or make front driveshaft

Hoye shows a driveshaft with ujoint end but no splined end for around 200. You could measure the distance from transfer case to differential & if the length is shorter, buy the hoye shaft, take it to a machine shop with the tractor & have them cut and spline/yoke it for you depending on the connection needed. You'll still need shield & ujoint/ fasteners/seals, but the drive shaft should be done. Would need to make sure the xfer case isn't trash ... why would someone pull the shaft from a working xfer case even if they don't use 4wd?

I blew a rearend in eastern Wyoming/western Nebraska once on a datsun 4x4, pulled the shaft and limped into Cheyenne on front wheel only, but kept the original driveshaft to mate up to a boneyard rear end.

There aren't too many options up that way.
