I’ve recently purchased an older Janmar YM 2210 Tractor four-wheel-drive. When I checked the dipstick on the top of the transmission, there was nothing on it. I drained the fluid from the plug that appears to be in the bottom of the housing for the front driveshaft under the transmission.Look like it hadn’t been serviced in forever. Got about 2 gallon of oil out of it. Directly behind it., Appears to be the drain plug for the rear differential, much larger plug, approximately 1 inch headed plug. Is the fluid from the transmission and the diff all the same? do I pull that plug as well, at the same time I see from a previous post the three bolts that I have to take out to remove the screen to clean it. Does that hydraulic fluid all run together in both components, transmission, and rear diff, and do I fill it all in the same place. I was going to use premium Tractor. Hydraulic and transmission fluid, is that the correct oil to use. I have not pulled out the large plug to see what comes out of it yet, but I do not see a dipstick or a place to put fluid in for the rear diff differential.
