Yanmar 2420D Value

I was just going by what "my" book says. I have an operations manual from Murray Publishing Co. it lists the Ym series 1720-4220 tractors.

I quote the manual " 3 cylinder inline diesel. 3T84H-NA TURBO." All other engine specs including displacement, valve clearances etc are the same as the 2220 series tractors. It also states that the 2420 has 24 PTO HP, and 28 enginge HP, which is two horsepower more than the 2220 tractors.

Maybe your right, i'm pretty new to the Yanmar tractors and learning a little more each day about them.

Maybe you got the numbers turner around, YM4220 has a turbo.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse but...............again, my manual says that the YM2420 with engine 3T84H-NA, the YM2820 with engine 3T84-NB, and the YM4220 with engine 3T84T-N all have turbo. I don't doubt that what you are saying is right because it is my understanding that the letter T in the engine ID denotes a turbo'd engine.

Does anyone have the Murray Publications Manual that I have? Publication ID is MC#YM-20-N. And if so does your manual say the same thing or is it just my manual that has a typo?

If you pay Murry to print a manual, they will print what you tell them to print. My info comes out of the Yanmar parts book. The 3T84T is in the Yanmar YM330 and the YM3000 and they don't have a turbo. The YM3810 has a 3T84T and it does have a turbo.
