It would be much appreciated if some of you folks would post your engine oil pressure. I am going to install a pressure gage on my tractor and would like to know what the norm would be for a cold engine and after a complete warmup and working pressure. Also plese let me know your pressure at idle (800 RPM) and working RPMs. Thanks for you help.

See if Hoye Tractor or someone else has an operating and parts manual for your unit.. I have manuals that are close to my 2210. They are on cd's. I have two different cd's. I can answer most question about my unit myself. Part of my manuals are still in Japanese!!!! Other than that I would say that if ur dummy light is not coming on now when the tractor is running then it probabaly runs at the appropriate pressure. When u install ur gage just look for any big change when u are oprerating.....

I have the operation and parts manual (actually for a 336d) from Hoye but it does not describe any oil pressures, only the idiot light. I also noticed that the operator’s manual mentioned that the dealer could adjust the oil pressure. The valve that can be adjusted is located behind the oil filter. It would be interesting if any of the forum members have adjusted the oil pressure and the procedures that were used. Any input appreciated.

I don't have a guage on mine yet either, but a good rule of thumb for most pressurized oiling systems is you should have 10lbs of oil pressure for each 1000 rpm of engine speed. (10lb@1000rpm, 20lb at 2000rpm, etc.) Dont be too surprised if you install a guage that starts reading at 20lbs and it shows no pressure at idle.

I installed a gauge on my 1700 this spring. My pressure runs between 40 and 50 psi at normal operating temps. Tractor has 1200 hours on it and uses no oil. Bought her in 94 with 667 hours. She's a keeper!!!

I have a 1700 and my oil pressure runs between 40 and 50 as well. I was wondering if that was too high...apparently not....thanks for the info

I did not know about that adusting valve. I do think my 2210 has one.. I may find some time to look it up. There must be someone on this forum who knows the oil pressure range for your unit.. You ask someone at Hoye... I still bet your range is good now so if you install a gauge then you can see what it runs at. Just look for any big change.
