Yanmar 550 trackhoe

We have a small trackhoe, when the bucket is at waist level and you want to go up the bucket drops about a foot before it goes up. The pump was recently rebuilt. Is there air in the system? How do we remove it?

I think it is your valve, not air in the system. Most hydraulic systems self bleed with just a few repetitions of the cylinder in and out. I had a Yanmar tractor that did the same thing with the FEL. New control valve solved the problem.

I would also check the load check valve for debris on tat spool.

If you have to keep purging air in the hyd, then you may have a sucking leak .
