Dealer YANMAR DEALER IN SOUTH CAROLINA

I bought a Yanmar tractor from Rinehart about3 years ago within 60 days the clutch went out and it lost compression. I was told when I bought the tractor it had a 90 day warranty for parts and it had been reconditioned, when I contacted Rinehart they said they would pay for everything. I guess they got my number from caller ID because they never answered the phone or returned messages so I ended up paying for everything.DON'T BUY FROM THEM unless you want to be screwed.

Your story just shows how some of the VN tractors can be good, some bad. Knock on wood i bought one from Rhinehart and have not had anything except fro normal stuff from a 30 yr old touch up job. Had to replace a rubber hose, new 3pt valve, radiator was leaky , bad volt regulator. (all this they did replace. They screwed you no doubt. I think the problem is that they were not straight up business folks and that you were not close by like me where you could show up there and rewuest the parts, or haul your tractor to them to fix it. But if they fixed it they still would charge you labor if they did it and hearing your story im sure they would have enough hours in it to cover the parts.

I bought a used 1700 from Rinehart. After a complete rebuild I now have a great little tractor.I would run like the wind from him! When My tractor blew up I asked him what sort of problems he had with the tractors,he said the only problem he was aware of was they had to replace a couple waterpumps! When I asked about some help with parts, the reply was basically tough %^&*(*^%. When I was researching the yanmar line of tractors,I was amazed that they still used the sipon type cooling like the old farmall cub.I wonder if many water pumps were replaced on the old cubs!I bet Rinehart has replaced a bunch.

Well to his defense, most yanmars have waterpumps. Its only the older and smaller ones that dont. I think the 1500 and 1700 are the most common ones. The smaller ones probly are as well but they are not very common here.

But he did do you wrong. He probly did one to many this way which is why he does not have any more yanmars on the lot hardly. He said he was just not selling them as much., His answer to me was what others said, the economy.
