So far the local Yanmar dealer has been great. However, they are limited by Yanmar's poor parts distribution. The parts have had to come from Japan each time I needed them. In today's world that should not be a real issue but Yanmar seems to put them on boats. Two plus weeks has been the norm for parts delivery to the dealership. That coupled with the apparent need for the regional Yanmar representative to get involved before major warranty work begins really slows the repair process. It is difficult to blame the dealership when they are required to play the waiting game too.
went to get parts for a brush cutter yesterday. The place I went to also sold yanmar tractors.
I inquired about the yanmars, and he said we are selling out and will be no more yanmars.
When I asked why, he said I don't know, owner made the decision.
The issue I see around here is, most anyone can be a yanmar dealer.
From the small lawn equipment store, to the car salesman. Not really what I would call a tractor dealership.
The two places I visited. I wouldn't put much faith in them being able to repair the tractor if something happened
