Tractor
john deere 1250/john deere 450D (dozer)/john deere 214 lawn & garden/case international 244
I bought a John Deere 1250 at a sale. The tractor is a low time machine with just over 900 hrs. It had been neglected
big time for several years, while apparently being exposed to the elements. I rebuilt the Yanmar 3T95J engine. New cylinder liners, new rings and bearings, and a complete head job. It runs like a swiss watch now except occasionally it seems to lope, (uneven running). I am going to replace the injectors next, and that is the purpose of this post. I am looking for a source for injectors at a reasonable price. I would be very grateful for any assistance in this regard. I need a set of three (3) injectors, John Deere part number
CH16934. Thanks, jep

Try posting on the Yanmar board on this site,
Plenty of help there, as well as parts dealers who won't hurt you.

Thanks Franz,
Good suggestion--I'll do that right now--don't know why I didn't think of that myself--Thanks again. jep

James, those 1250s are sure nice tractors - though rare. For those who don't know the history, back when JD and Yanmar first got together, Yanmar made a "giant" version of the compact tractor which JD also sold. The 1250 is 4wd, 3 range all gear drive, 40 hp, 5000lbs, and category 2 3pt hitch. There were actually 3 of these tractors: 1250,1450, and 1650. But only the 1250 was marketed as a compact.
These must have been fine tractors, because the people who are lucky enough to get one tend to keep them. They were only imported for a few years and I've always thought that maybe JD just wasn't comfortable at that time selling a tractor that was clearly oriental built but competed directly with their traditional Ag tractors.

Hi Lens 12,

Thanks for the reply to my post.
Could you give me a little more information about
the injectors for my Yanmar 3T95J? I have never
had injectors rebuilt before, could you tell me how
rebuilt ones stack up against new and the comparative
cost. Also how long is the turn around for a rebuild?
Thanks, jep

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the reply. I didn't know about the history
of the JD 1250. My tractor is not the 4WD version, I
wish it was. I have a friend who bought a 2WD 1250 new
in 1984, and he is still madly in love with it. His experience
was a big influence on my decision to buy this one. The only
use I have for a tractor this size is for bush hogging, and I
hope this is just the ticket for that task. I plan to fabricate
a skid plate that will completely cover the underside to protect all the components under the belly. I am looking
forward to getting this machine in operation soon. jep

They should be as good , if not better. Shops usually are nore accurate than the facturey

Rebuilds are as good if not better than new factory ones. The shop probably build to closer specd than JD.
