Yanmar engines and DFA\'s

I've been reading other post about additives in diesel engines and was wondering if any Yanmar owners use them, if so, why and what brand.
I live in South Mississippi so I don't have to worry about gelling, but would like to have something that's proven to clean injectors. I currently use diesel from my local Chevron station, (is this ok)? Also, at startup, my tractor blows a few puffs of white smoke, is this normal? Thanks in advance.

Re: Yanmar engines and DFA\'s

hello again, first a little white smoke is ok its a cold cyl. cond. the fuel dosen't completely burn, cold start. Fuel from any station that moves a lot should be fine, and a favrote fuel additive here in N.H.,very cold winters is powerservice, it cleans injecters, lubes, andprevents waxing and disipates water. A local favorate with contractors, and farmers,I use a dash all year long,in the summer every other tank low recomended amount, winter every tank high recomended amount, -10deg. not uncomen over night, never a problem with fuel.
