Assemble those pliers correctly and they will remove your snap rings.

I wonder what a good used part would cost from fredericks or Hoye? If you cant figure this out that may be cheaper solution for you than paying for shop time. no doubt that fixing yours would be way cheaper though.

OK, well it's finally back together. Not tested yet but it seems ok inside the shop. Approx $375.00 in parts from HOYE to do both sides of the 4x4 but they are totally done. I took it apart and had a local guy with the correct tools rebuild the components. Then he and I threw it back together in no time. His labor was $340.00 so for approx $700 its all done and should be fine. No test drive yet but its rolling fine.

I now have a new question. My electrical sucks and my idiot light for the TEMP does not work. I want to install a TEMP GAUGE for better accuracy. Any threads to previous posts to recommend? Will I have to tap the engine block for a sensor of can I use existing stuff on the engine for as gauge?

thanks again for all the help.

Dave

Posted a thread a few days ago. Same threads on your 2210B. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/329703-temperature-gauge.html

Winston, thanks for the reply. How hard to install the gauge. How hard is the wiring and did you have to install a block sensor or use what already there? I think my wiring for the idiot light is missing. I dont know where the original wiring went. Time to start digging. That gauge is not expensive, will any gauge that hits the same range work? I may have some more expensive unused new temp gauges in that range for cars. I found where the temp is suppose to be between 150-180 degrees, does that sound right to you?

Actually I guess I was thinking of an oil pressure gauge when talking about taping the block for the sensor. I do have a question on your TEMP GAUGE. I see the sensor atop the water pump. Were you able to use that sensor and just cut that wire (in my case yellow) and connect that to your gauge, or did you have to use some sort of adapter for the gauge you bought? And I am guessing that the back lit gauge required another wire to the KEY/ IGNITION?

Hope I answered your questions on the other thread.
