Yanmar FX20D - stops driving , temporarily!

Hi all -- My yanmar fx20d works great - for about 40minutes to an hour and then wth (almost) no warning just stops going forward or back . If I leave her for about 2-4 hours and come back all is back to normal -- any thought ??
No warning other than a sensation it is about to stop (ususally in a gateway, or somewhere equall inconvenient) no strange noise, clutch slip etc -- completely baffled !!
