The true dangers with these tractors and all tractors are in the failure to explain common sense safety to new owners and what your tractor can and can't do. I have seen some great machines flip or get mutilated due to some really nieve people. These tractors were not designed to:
1) Ride 3 people while brushcutting
2) Go sideways accross an 80 degee angle
3) Go straight up a 90 degree angle
4) Push over a 400 year old tree by attacking it head on without digging any roots....(the tractor will stop, harshly)
and the list goes on...
My 8N with bulky steering, awkard handling charastics, and heavy weight for 18hp is a much more dangerous piece of machinery to operate. It was safe enough in 1952 and it still runs today. Last time I checked no one was demanding a re-call...
My 2 cents... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
