Mine has a loader and seems to go onto the trailer better backwards. Same with inclines; goes up better backwards and down better forwards.

My tractor with loader is always a 'fiddle with' issue when loading.. trying to get good toungue weight and still keep load balanced ont he trailer.. etc.

Be care ful of the tract loading backwards police. :):) I'dont see a problem but some do. Maybe the bigger it is the worse it is. I still load mine front, but I know what you mean by backing up hills, same feeling on an ATV.

I believe it is generally recommended to back the tractor onto the trailer for safety reasons.

Interesting, 99% i see on the road are driven in. Plus if you have an implement on the back if may contact the trailer ramps. I think it was discussed here a while back and backing in is harder to balance the load. Not sure. Mine goes straight on because the deck is 25" high, no dovetail. Plus my longest implement (BH) will rotate up as the tail wheel hits the ground. Otherwise I would have a problem with the lenght.

I wouldn't be able to load my 660/loader on my trailer backwards... Most of my weight would be up front and too much forward of the tandems.. I'm sure that issue varies with each tractor/trailer combination..e tc.
