Price Check Yanmar YM240D

I have a Yanmar YM240D that has only 225 hours, mower attachment, cultivator attachment and rototiller attachment. The tractor is pristine and has only been used for minor work around a farm. The tractor has had one owner and hasn't been used for about 5 years, but has always been stored inside and has annual maintenance conducted. I have seen a lot of different prices for this tractor, but I haven't seen any with as few hours or as good of condition. Does anyone know a good price for this tractor with all of the attachments? Thanks!

Wow.....that's a very clean tractor. Seen one's with lots more hours and pretty beat up go for $2 to $3 thousand. I would guess yours would be in the $4 to $5K range with attachments. The low hours and condition are impressive.....go high.....you can always come down. Good luck. What state are you in??

That is still a desirable model. If you can wait for the right buyer to discover it, you may get close to what it sold for new. (The external air cleaner indicates you have the final upgrade of YM240D, so your year model would be 1981).

Remember Don Lancaster's admonition: "If it sold the first time you listed it on Ebay, then you set your minimum too low".

A search on any tractor model often returns this site. I expect a lot of people see their listings:
http://www.tractorhouse.com/list/list.aspx?manu=YANMAR&mdltxt=YM240D (That's a 2 wheel drive misrepresented as YM240D!)

I have no idea if that site is good, or they just buy Google rankings. I've seen lots of misrepresentations like the one above, and 20~30 year misstatements of year model.

A search just now returned this site with a YM240D @ $8500. But - I suspect it is one of many sites that re-lists other peoples Craigslist etc ads just to generate page views, and has nothing to do with the original ad. Don't waste your time contacting those repost sites.


And there is always Ebay. Yours is a US model, so it is acceptable on Ebay. I think that gives the best national exposure and potentially the best price.

I was surfing Yanmar on Google the other day, clicked a link to ebay and just happened to catch the last minutes of this auction it went for $6,000. I think it may be the same tractor but w/the upside down pics it's hard to tell. they're both from Michigan. Yanmar Tractor | eBay
