Yanmar Ym2500

Hi Forum Help: I have a Mid 1980s YANMAR - YM2500 Tractor (They call it a Gray Model) that I bought in the mid 1990s, every thing that is still partially legible is in foreign writing except some numbers. I desperately need to determine the Year of Manufacturing so I can replace parts and repair my tractor that is currently back in my woods with a starter motor issue. The starter ID tag is not legible at all
Here is what I know:

3T80 on a tag (every thing else in the tag is foreign language)
3T80 - 87779 Impression Stamped in the engine
2500 - 07939 Impression Stamped under the Seat.

Can you help me please

If you can bring the starter motor out of the woods you may be able to take it to a local starter repair shop where they can identify exactly what it is. A local shop successfully identified my Mitsubishi starter and got an after market replacement for far less than I anticipated. The foreign language on your labels is probably Japanese and gray market indicates it was never intended for export to this country. It may differ somewhat from the equivalent models intended for sale here. You may get more information from an internet search.

Your Gray Market Yanmar YM2500 is the IDENTICAL model to the John Deere JD850. So whatever fits a JD850 will work on your machine.

Do you need manuals? We have them all for free on the YTOG.
Both in Japanese and in English
