Yanmar

Darins, a year ago last August, the dealer gave me an honest $8,000 for my 1995 B7100HSD w/B1630C FEL; 4 years old and just under 500 hours. I had been using a 4' Bush Hog rotary cutter, a 4' Monroe Tufline box blade, and a 40" Bush Hog tiller. They all worked well on the B7100; I just decided to trade up to a little bigger tractor, but primarily for power steering and position control on the 3-point. It's not too bad to steer, but for an old man who's had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and getting lazier by the day . . ../w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Hello,
I bought a Yanmar a year ago and had ALL of the same concerns that you do. I researched it and bought a Grey market Yanmar and I have had very good luck with it. The price was half of the comparable US tractor, parts are available and it is a great tractor. It has been the best purchase of my adult life! I get my outside work done in a fraction of the time that I previously did and my wife did not have to get a job to pay for it. A lot of the previous posts spoke form ignorance about these Grey market tractors. Yanmars are as reliable as any of the JD's that Yanmar made, except cheaper. Parts are available and many independent dealers will service them. My advice is to read the 7,000+ posts in the Yanmar Owners Group in Yahoo and learn about these tractors. The money you will save will be YOURS!
