The three digit model numbers are the US market ones, four digit are grey. Generally parts are more available for the US models, but, with the internet, you can find most anything. Mine is terrific, I bush hog, do dirt work and haul with mine, and will keep it even if I buy another larger unit.

Cost is not a little less it is a lot less. A grey is typically going to have a 1/5th the hours that the US model would have for the same year. I don’t see that you’re taking on any problems with a 20 year old grey that you don’t get with a 20 year old US model. If you are the kind of person that has to have an OEM radiator cap and you are not handy, then a grey model might not be your first choice but I would also stay away from tractors in general and hire the work done.

Yeah.. getting your hands dirty is more or less a common thing with a tractor. And I've heard that some women even like the faint fragrance of deisel on a men?
