Yard capacity of KL130 FEL

Hello all,

My CK30 HST has nearly 60 hrs now. 40 billable. Funny how time flies. I do have a question that the Kioti site does not appear to answer. What is the capacity of the 5 ft bucket on the FEL? Anybody know?

Hello NL, i believe its 9 cu ft or 1/3 of a yard... Matt

I'm surprised how shallow it is campaired to other tractors this size. Maybe it is just my perception.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking it was about 1/3 yard.

According to the New Holland site the TC30 bucket is either .32 or .35 depending on light or heavy duty. This is "struck". Heaped is .40 and .43 light/heavy.

I was not sure what the capacity of the Kioti is so hence the question. It would be nice to know the "official" volume.

Per the loader spec. chart I have: 9.53 cu. ft.

That works out to .353 yards, or just about a hand shovel of dirt over 1/3 yard. Is that the struck or heaped capacity?

The specs for the NH TC29 show the 60" quick attach bucket at .36 struck and .43 heaped.

In any case, capacities of any bucket are rarely accurate in real use because most heaping loads have plenty of airspace inside the bucket if the material has any clay content. Loads of mulch can easily fill a bucket with a large "heap" but loads of dry sand, while they can fill a bucket, can't be heaped. So under "normal" use, a bucket's capacity is a theoretical maximum capacity but would be less under most uses.

I originally thought the bucket was a little on the small side until I used it. With the rollback and power for that size tractor, it seems easy to heap it full most of the time. My old Ford had a similar sized bucket, but it was difficult to fill completely because the rollback was different, tractor was lighter, etc...
