Do any of you use small yard carts or wagons? If so what brands and where can I find them?

My dad uses an older cart designed for a garden tractor. This cart is 30 + years old and still works well. My dad use to tow me in the trailer while mowing when I was young (I'm 31 now) It's roughly 4 x 8 and all metal with a box that tips (manually), and a removable tailgate. Is has larger turf tires and it works perfectly for small loads of dirt, brush, or crushed rock.

Thanks

Take a look at these, they are pretty well made by all the reports here on TBN, I'm considering one for myself. There are some cheaper brands, but reports about them are far from glowing. As luck would have it, Country Manufacturing is running a Spring sale RIGHT NOW on some of their wagons.

Another brand known for quality, and also priced a bit higher because of it is the Kory wagon. I don't have their URL link handy, but you can find them with a Google search. Also one of the TBN dealer/members sells them. Check out Ken Sweet at Sweet's Farm Equipment, he runs ads on this website.

This is very similar in size and shape to the one my dad has...wood rather than metal, but thats fine...the wood can be easily replaced it needed.

Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I checked out the Kory and almost bought one but went with the Country Mfg units once they went on sale. Normal price for the CM units is about $500 more than the Kory with optional bed. I guess $$$=quality so that makes the CM units better. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Actually the quality between both are identical. The biggest diference is that for the same price I could get a Country Mfg unit on sale with a dump bed and sides while with the Kory I would have had to make the dump mechanism and side supports myself as it comes in bascially 2 pieces, the running gear and the bed. Also, if I recall correctly, the CM unit has bigger tires, 20" vs 18".

With the current sale on Country Mfg units, the price delivered to my house was a wash.

Thanks for the link., Bob. Those carts are really nice. Do you think my wife might like one for our anniversary? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I guess that's a silly question, what woman wouldn't love a nice cart like that. I hope I can return the mixer and vacuum I got for her... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Gardening centers and hardware stores should have small trailers that would suit your needs.

Think twice about a wagon as backing one up can be ineresting /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've got the 15 cu ft rubbermaid trailer from Farm & Fleet. Bought it for moving small loads of horse poo down to the pile. It's adequate for the job, but doesn't quite dump steep enough to get the good stuff out without a shovel.

Anybody using the hand pump unit for dumping the Country manufacturing trailer?

I'm going to try to make it up to the Homier sale in Niles this weekend to pick up one of their dump wagons for $199. I've debated about it for over a year, but I think I might do it this time...

If I remember correctly, it's 7 feet long. It's perfect for my needs.

We've been using this Walmart cart (see attachment) since 1991. Best $88 I ever spent.
