Enough with the snow already, it's supposed to be spring! We've had gale force winds, over 60 mph tonight, and heavy snow all day. Looks like another cleanup day tomorrow.

Gusts of 72kph here. Big drifts. Now its turned to heavy snow. All the plows, police and ambulance are off the road. Tomorrow morning should be interesting.

During the heavest gusts, the tarp on my firewood took flight (of course:mad:). Cause was chicom princess auto rubber bungies that basically disintegrated! I should have known better. The SnappiHooker Cdn made ones held up, but were too few to hold on. Got it secured now with the loader bucket holding it down under pallets. Not a lot of fun!

My neighbour tried screwing his tarps down this year, I think with some sort of reinforcing washer and deck screws. No idea how that worked, but it has potential I think.

Good idea, Ive seen them screwed down with tin can lids as washers. Makes it hard to access though.

Next year, Im going to have a woodshed. Have to. Chasing tarps sucks!

I wish you well with that Jason. I have been saying that for 15 years at least. I still don't have a woodshed, but I intend to build one this summer.
