Yet *another* Snowblower chute conversion.

We have had an OMAX water Jet for 13 yrs at my work . It will not cut bevels but has a 60"x 120" cutting window and will cut 4" thick steel at 55,000 psi. I could not live with out it as it saves so much time and is great for my projects too.:laughing:

Pretty much the same thing then I guess ... I think out bed is slightly larger (2x3m?) but that is to allow more water around between the jet and the wall of the tank. When I first read the warning label on it and saw 63,000PSI I thought it was a misprint. - but we - just like you - run at 55K. I wonder if that's some sort of golden number that they've worked out?

We rarely cut bevels, but we do use it's ability to cut perfect 90 degree edges all the time. We also rarely cut anything larger than 60mm thick aluminium... but it's nice to know that we could if we wanted to.

Kinda like a microwave - you can live without them until you get one, and once you've had them for a year you ask yourself "how in earth did I manage without?"

The latest addition tot he workshop is a CNC bending press... just getting to grips with that
