YM 1401 and RS1205 tiller plus YM135 questions

DavidH, I found a photo of what someone did to adapt a 2-point tiller for his quick hitch.

I think he made the arms far too long. But this might give you some ideas for a starting point if you decide to do likewise.

Surely mounting the tiller on a QH, just back up and lift it, is easier than taking off your tractor's lift arms and mounting the tiller as 2-point.

No rear leveling wheels which I found no need for like I stated a showed previously. But no PTO Dr, shaft showing or hooked up. That maybe a big problem?

I assume he posted that halfway through his adapting project.

And I expect he found multiple problems with that, which he had to resolve before it was functional.

The reason why he pushed the rotary tiller further back was, the PTO drive shaft lengths we use in the USA are longer. The OE Yanmar shafts are 'nearly' 2-yokes connected together.

There is a way to hook up the 2-point to any of the Yanmar Gray Market machines long as the rotary tiller comes with the Yanmar PTO shorty drive shaft.

I had to shorten a Yanmar Drive shaft that way to long. Mentioned it on a Prev. reply Every bit of at least 6-8" if not more. Fredricks sent the correct one after finding out I had the wrong Drive shaft. My guess it would have worked on that extended setup! Parts back then was hard to come bye. So another reason I sold it! No much doubt it's true still today for parts!

Looking at that picture some more - he needs to add a simple structure shaped same as the QH, so that those three attachment points will be aligned with the QH's attachment points when he backs up to lift it.

And I see there is another tiller thread presently. Maybe there will be some ideas there.
