Had to revive this thread because it has a happy ending. Went out to the property to try to get one more task out of the tractor before the clutch went totally. As I said before I had been addjusting the linkage as it "wore out" WRONG! Turns out the locking nuts weren't holding the adjustment so it kept acting like it was going by creaping down. Re-adjusted it, torqued the locking nuts and voila...a good clutch! Got my food plots disked up and fertilized! Sorry to have to cancel the tractor splitting party!
