My YM 2000 served me well for the past 3 years, too bad I didn't treat it so well. This was my first tractor. Experience is the best, but most expensive, teacher! Engine is fine, but I need a high-low range gear (pops out of gear in high range), shifting forks for 1/4 and 2/6 gears, and a clutch. Also, the differential lock does not engage anymore--I guess it's true you shouldn't engage the lever on the fly! A mechanic looked at the tractor and said repairs would run $2500 to $3000--too much to let him do the work. If I just replace the clutch, I can use it as a back-up tractor for low speed brush cutting in 3rd and 5th gear (low range). But if I have to open up the tractor anyway for clutch replacement, I thought I'd at least price the other parts.
