YM 2000 Wheel adapter bolt

The large bolt that bolts the rear wheel adapter to the axle continues to get loose on my YM 2000. This only happens on the left side (I assume this side because the rotation of the axle is the same as the direction that you take the bolt loose, CCW). The bolt has a lock washer and I tighten it very tight but it works loose after about 1 1/2 hours of use. Should I use "lock tight " on this or something else. Suggestions please.

I'm not sure what you call tight, but 1,000'# is about right. Is the hub loose on the axle when the bolt comes loose, maybe a problem there, (the hub should still be tight with the bolt out). Otherwise I would clean the threads good and reassemble with Loc-tite and a 4' length of pipe.
