When you changed the hydraulic oil did you also change the disposable hyd. filter? If so, one of the quirks of the YM226 is that you should fill the new canister manually with oil as full as you can before installing it (this is true with all models with a vertically mounted filter). You would think that a tractor with a 5 gpm pump would fill the canister in a few seconds, but we have found that it takes as long as 10 to 15 minutes of running the engine to fill the filter, purge the air and build up hyd. pressure enough to make the tractor move.
I have two YM226 tractors and this is one of the things I have learned. Hope this helps you.
That was Good advice, I had to do the same thing a few times, if he could unscrew the filter and fill it will oil and put it back on real fast.
Real messy unless you're fast...
