ym 2500 won\'t start

i've suddenly had a problem with my 2500,it won't start.it's been doing great,no problems at all,turn the key and go.I haven't been using it much this winter so i start it fairly often to keep it up.Last week no problem,let it run awhile then turned it off.this week,it fired for about 10 secs,then nothing.it acts like it's not getting fire,it cranks and cranks but won't fire off.Texas winters aren't cold enough to be a problem.Any ideas?Mabe electrical?HELP PLEASE

Because your tractor is diesel there is no "FIRE" to get and therefore you can element an electrical problem. A diesel needs fuel, oxygen and compression to operate. I think we can eleminate compression. I seriously doubt you have lost compression that quick. I know these are dumb questions but, you do have fuel right? Check the fuel cut off switch to make sure no kids have accidentally cut of the fuel on purpose. Remove and inspect your fuel filter. If it looks dirty replace it. If it isn't dirty remove it and turn the fuel lever to the on position and make sure fuel liberally flows out. If it doesn't you have trash between the tank and the fuel filter. Those tanks get nasty sometimes. Once those things have been checked, loosen the nuts that connect the injector lines to the injectors. Note that I said LOOSEN not remove. No get someone to crank the engine and you look for fuel coming out from around those loosened injector fittings. Is there fuel? If so the remaining element is the injectors, they could be clogged. If it is the injectors they will need to be serviced by a diesel mechanic. If there isn't fuel coming out you have an injector pump problem that can be solved by taking it to a diesel mechanic. Before you go and pull injectors or pump make sure your air cleaner is clean and unobstructed. I hope this helps.

Not trying to step on Brent. There is a step in the middle. I just had to do this last night. There is also a bleeder screw at the pump. It should be bled after the filter. It might save a mess at the injectors.

ok,evidentally i got air in the fuel system.i loosened the lines at the injectors and bled the line at the injector pump,it's running again.thanks for the help.
