YM1100D and YM1110D engine parts

I own a YM1110D I looking into rebuilding the engine. It's my understanding that the 1110D engine = 2T72 and the 1100D engine model is the 2T73... do they share the same engine parts... for an engine rebuild?

Don't know where the 2t73 came from. Never heard of it. I believe they have the same 2t72
engine.

Woops, wrong again. I see the 135 has the 2t73 engine, however, both the 1100 and 1110 have the 2t72 engine.

I give up, further research in part manuals does show the 1100 does have the 2t73. Moral of the story is don't believe anything I've said.

We have the Parts Manuals on the YTOG for free as,

Nearly all 1st edition machines are Tree Frogs and the later editions are Red Apples.

I'm going to look at the YM135 and see how close it is. Nothing on the Net. either for my search 2T72. The Wet Sleeve showed up on my old Fredricks parts.

Do use the YM in front of the model IDs, else people will point you to Kubota parts.

The 2T72 was also used in early Yanmar gensets. These gensets were sold in English speaking countries. The engine would be 90% identical to your tractor. The only difference is the engine back end is not to a tractor clutch.
From the YTOG, look for this English written engine manual.

The 2T72 uses these parts,

YM1110 2T72, Y-124901-22090 Piston Kit, 72mm P20 C30mm
(same piston in the YM1401, Piston 72mm TW 46 1401 F15 (flat)

Buy the ring-set for the YM1401. You will have one extra set.
The rings fit these models too, YM1110, YM1401, YM1510, YM1502, F15
Even download these manuals from the YTOG to verify the part numbers.

YM1110 2T72, Y-2T72-15, Engine Block Liner/Sleeve 72mm (Finished/Polished) TW
(same liner as the 3T72 engine, ΥM1401, Y-3Τ72-15)
* NOTE, the 2T73 engine liners are DIFFERENT.
Notice the TW at the end of this Yanmar listing. The OE for the liners Yanmar has used for the past 60 years is,

To play it safe, it would be wise to download the Parts Manuals for the models with the 3T72 engines. Compare the 2T72 part numbers with those part numbers in the other manuals. Then sleuth out the details of where to get the parts.

Weavers has a large PDF downloadable Yanmar parts catalog for the Gray Market machines.

The Yanmar genset with the 2T72 engine is the AG8S model if you go searching for engine kits that way too.

Just giving you options.

BTW, not sure if it's possible, the 2GM20F Marine engine variant with your existing exhaust manifold might work in a tractor. Sure it's a gamble.

To have an understanding of the Yanmar part numbers, looking at a Yanmar US domestic manual is a huge help. It's the same system and at times various tractors use the same parts, domestic or gray market imported.

For the YM1100 2Cyl. all the way to the YM1500. I have the complete Serv. Manual for the YM135. Both the YM1100/YM135 0.6L 2cyl.

I have some more questions... on my tractor. Below are 2 videos one of my injectors and one of the crankshaft...

Injectors:

It appears that there're 2 different washers placed between the injector and the head. I'm unclear if the thin metal one stuck in the head needs to come out. The second washer, broken in half, is not metal. The questions I have are... is that a narrow metal crush washer that I should pull out of the head? And what type of replacemet washer is needed for the second nonmetal washer?

Crankshaft:

is it ok if the rear thrust bearing slides side to side as seen in the video?
