3-Point Hitch YM1401D 3-point lift problem

I'm thinking it's something other than the adjustment linkage. Even when I completely disconnect the linkage it still works the same. With the engine off the lever feels normal, with the raise, lower and neutral positions. With the engine running, it lifts an inch or two, and the lever pushes itself toward neutral. Again, this is regardless of the stop linkage adjustment and even occurs with the linkage totally disconnected. Looks like it's coming apart again. Maybe a piece of dirt or something inside the valve? Thanks everyone for the help.

Is it possible that you got something out of place when putting everything back together ? Mabe go back & re -check everything.

Problem Solved!

The problem turned out to operator/assembler error. There is a pushrod that raises the 3 point arms that fits into the dished top of the lift cylinder piston. When I installed the lift cylinder assembly into the housing, somehow that pushrod slipped down so that it hung loose instead of fitting into the piston like it should. The lift arms would lift slightly because the piston would push on the piece that the pushrod was connected to as the piston reached the end of it's stroke. Hopefully someone will learn from my error. Thanks to all who replied.

Good job! That's the reason that I asked you if you were sure that you didn't get something out of place durning assy. It happened to me (about a week ago )on my ATV winch . I took it apart to grease the internal gears ( as I ride in mud alot ) & when I put all back together it wouldn't wind the cable in . Took it apart 3 x b-4 I got it right ! Things happen that way sometimes
