You may recall lesson #1 for this 1510D giftee was to make sure the lower 3pt mount studs are fully seated, screwed in all the way. That repair went well. I got to spend thanksgiving weekend with my kids in the shop where they competed for favorite child status in order to stay in the running for the 1510's giftline.
Lesson #2, the 3 pt hitch is gravity operated and pushing the "down" does not help...unless you're trying to break the control lever which is doubtful. Which brings me to the current problem for which I seek guidance from ether. My 3 pt control lever sheared off right where it enters the chassis. I looked in the manual and it looks fairly easy to remove the seat and then the 3 pt assembly. Are there any bits of wisdom related to this repair that I should know in order to avoid other embarrassingly hard lessons?
