The steering shaft on my Yanmar 155D needs to be replaced. Unfortunately a previous owner installed a steering box from a different tractor. A new Yanmar shaft is just over an inch too long. Now a steering shaft that is 16 3/8 inches long is needed. Can anyone identify a shaft that is 16 3/8 inch long?

If the ends are correct you could cut an inch out of the new shaft and weld it back together. Or cause that to be done, if no welder.
