ym186 billows white smoke and no power

I had the tip of an injector break off once on a Ford diesel van. The white smoke billowed from the van until I got slowed down and then it died and i could not get it restarted until i changed the injector. Without the tip the compression forced air back up the injection line. It looked like a mosquito fogger though before it died.

That's what I think too. Probably injectors. Most probable cause for those symptoms, and nothing so far on the list of things to do will have much effect if that is the cause.
I have twice recently had success with BG 244 diesel injector cleaner at about 5x the recommended dosage. Expensive stuff. No, I haven't tried any other brand of cleaner.
