I went out to crank my tractor and all I got was dash lights. The tractor would not turn over or click. I thought it might be a dead battery but the battery seems to be ok. The turn signals and grad lights work. Can someone walk me thru bypassing the ignition switch? Thanks

Have you check the terminal ends?, Many of us have found the problem is the ground wire to the chases/frame, remove the wire and clean or sand the area,

I would take off battery terminals and clean them along with the battery posts. If battery seems to be ok, please check the volts, note that the battery might show a full charge of 12 / 13 volts, but the amps, (CCA) cold cranking amps, might be a little low. It might be that a battery replacement in is store. Good luck. I have experienced the same thing.

Thanks everyone! I will clean the battery terminals and ground. Hopefully that will do it.

I finally tracked it down. It was the starter. I had it rebuilt and its working like a charm. I think it had been going bad for a while. Last summer i had to start using the decompression lever to get it started. Thanks for the advise.
