I have looking around and found a dealer here in Ohio with a few miles of me. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I can't afford the cost of a new tractor /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif so i've been looking at the Yanmars. The one I like is the 2000D
model (have photo of one i found on internet). I read some where that this is the same model as the YM240. I was wanting to know what you guys thought about the Ym2000d.
I will be using the tractor for brush hogging on hilly terrian, blading, and maybe later on get a loader for it. I also was wanting to know how hard it is to put a hydralic remote on this tractor? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I read on here that there is usally a hydraulic port on the 3 point hydraulic valve. So you can connect and additional hydraulic implement. Is this true?? SORRY about the long post. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

How much do they want for it? I looked on the web site and it appeared to be $5700--I think somewhat high.

little miami tracing company in blanchester, ohio has a good reputation on this site. I think they have a web site--search on lmtc tractor.

I would also ask if the photo is of the tractor that is for sale or one that is posted to show a 2000D. I wouldn't buy a tractor or any other machine( used or new) with out running the machine myself, and checking out the condition. Also, I would find how much the shipping cost from the west to Ohio is. This could change the total cost by a significant amount. Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey guys settle down. If you will re-read his e-mail he said he has found a YM2000D nearby in Ohio but was showing a picture of what one looks like from a web page he found. The tractor hounds are on the trail today!

The photo is just a photo of the 2000d. That i found on the web. The dealer near me is called Clay Pike Tractor Sales in Buffalo , Ohio. The dealer didn't have a 2000d on hand at the time, but had a 2310 4x4 and 1600 2wd. He quoted me a price around $5000 give or take a few hundred.

Buffalo is closer to Ryan than LMTC is, but he'd get a better tractor from Wayne /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Wayne also has a nice 2000BD for $5400

I'm gonna weigh in just long enough to say 1. if he's only got two units, he's likely a seller as opposed to a dealer (this distinction has been beaten to death here and elsewhere, but a dealer will be able to source parts for you, accurately answer questions about the model's capabilities, provide service if you choose to return there for repairs, etc.), and 2. "give or take a few hundred" is an awfully ambiguous price. If I gave "a few hundred" on every sale, I'd be out of business...If I could take "a few hundred" on every sale, I'd be a darn sight closer to retiring.
There is sound advice available on this board, just sort it out. There are good tractors out there at many outlets...but there are many bad ones lying in wait as well. Choose wisely Grasshopper...the bitter taste of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is gone.
Are there any Kung Fu fans left? Gosh, I loved that show.

I've actually been to that guys place. He gets the Yanmar's in by the container. I test drove one exactly like the one pictured. It was a very nice machine. His prices are usually pretty good and he's usually willing to negotiate. It's along way from where you are though as he is located in Western Washington.
