From what I see the cyls/liners are probably useable? I would cut the ridge and like Winston mentioned I much prefer a dingle ball hone fact ring manufacturers recommend them and you might put 3 new pistons in if the cyl that had the broke rings didn't wear excessively they will wear a cyl out in no time when the pieces are just floating around.

Update....
Okay so I'm finally able to work on this project again.
After further inspection of my cylinder liners I decided to replace them all. After covering the crank with some plastic and then a wet rag, I welded four vertical lines starting at the bottom of the cylinder liners and moved towards the top, this shrunk the liner enough that i could pretty much pull it out by hand. Once I got started I think I go them out in about 30 minutes. I got new liners and rings from Hoye and those are all installed now. I lapped the valves just for good measure. My head is flat as best as I can tell and there was no signs that the previous gasket had any leaks.
New Problem.....
Yesterday I snapped one of the smaller head bolts..... like an idiot...... I forgot to oil them first:ashamed:. It also got me thinking that maybe I had some bad info on the torque specs. Does anyone have those? I haven't seen the specs for this particular model (my220d).

So I discovered that Three of the head bolts have no gasket around them which exposes them to coolant. I snapped one while trying to get them up to torque and that's when I realized they have a weird waist / thinner area in them. I ordered replacements for all three. I've lost a few weeks just getting that sorted out.
