I have all of the mechanical stuff taken care of on my "new" 2210D and am now ready to install the FEL from my old MF 205-4 onto the new. Can anyone post or point me to a thread with some good pictures of the mounts for a 2210D. I have the front end figured out and am looking at attaching the sub-frame to the bolt holes in the bottom of the bell housing and the side of the block where the steel plates bolt on for the front clip. I am also thinking about tying it in to the rear axle area.

Thanks,
Steve

My YM240 is about the same age and similar size. It has an oversize Great Bend loader. Long ago I posted photos showing the loader mounts in response to a similar inquiry.

The main point is that there are arms to the rear axle to tranfer stress when you run into something. The arms also prevent twisting the loader's frame forward when you lift. This helps avoid the cracked bellhousings we read about on lesser tractors. :D.

Thanks for the info. I took a look at your other pictures too and can see how the whole thing goes together. The loader I am using was factory on my Massey 205-4 and is a quick connect. The original mounts on the Massey were full length and attached to the front of the frame, had taper pins to loosely connect to mounts on the (Aluminum) bellhousing and then bolted to tabs attached to the rear axle ends where the sway chains attach.
I was considering cutting the mount arms at about the bellhousing and attaching to a sub frame there only. I had seen a few pictures that looked like it was done that way but there wasn't much detail for any other structure. I think I will plan to go with the full length mount attached (loosely)at the bell housing area and tie the rear into the drawbar mount. The mounts will be too wide once I get to the rear tires so I will need to step them in.
Stay tuned for progress pictures.

Spare time has been short for getting the mounts completed. The front and center are done and all that remains is the rear.
I have seen the plumbing diagrams for tying into the hydraulics by splitting the pressure line to the 3-point. I was wondering if anyone has plumbed theirs this way and also runs their tractor without the FEL sometimes. Do you just plug your quick connects together when the FEL is not mounted?

Thanks,
Steve

That is exactly what I do. I have quick disconnects there.

I hope yours works well plumbed this way. I guess some do & some don't . Mine didn't work wery well plumbed this way.

I didn't plumb mine that way. I came that way from LCI. Many many many vn tractors are plumbed that way. All I did was add the quick disconnects and hoses for easy loader removal. I am pretty sure the gurus of hydraulics will say you need a power beyond port and go from it to the 3 point. All I know for sure is mine works fine.

I stated that some (maybe I should have said many) will work this way. Mine must be the only one that wouldn't . I can now have the 3 pt in the all the way up position & the curl, & float function of the bucket works as it should. Which ever way works . Go for it:thumbsup:

Update:
The mounts are all complete and the FEL installed. I cut into the 3 point line for the hydraulics since my control valve has power beyond. Both the FEL and 3 point work fine this way. I have .jpg pictures but I need some help getting them under the max file size. How do you compress the files to fit? I used MS picture Manager but the files are still too big.
