Update:
I have .jpg pictures but I need some help getting them under the max file size. How do you compress the files to fit?

See this post, all of your questions will be answered and file size will no longer matter.

I stated that some (maybe I should have said many) will work this way. Mine must be the only one that wouldn't . I can now have the 3 pt in the all the way up position & the curl, & float function of the bucket works as it should. Which ever way works . Go for it:thumbsup:

I am in the "didn't work well like that" crowd too. I haven't gotten around to re-routing mine yet but have the parts to do so just waiting on me. :)

Hmmm. Can somebody post a diagram of what you will change it to?

The problem I have is the 30+ year old loader control leaks down slightly. In effect the weight of the backhoe forces fluid back through the loader valve, letting the backhoe settle as I drive around. This back pressure can also make the operation of the loader controls unpredictable.

If I could change the plumbing to no longer be in series, the backhoe would stay lifted.

Bingo!

Well kenmac knows this better than me he has done it with success but the jist of it is adding a PB line on the loader control taking it out of the circuit when the 3 pt is the last thing in the circuit. We believe that is why our curl etc is inop about half the time when you need it to work it just sits no movement it gets maddening.

The return on the PB is back into the sump thru an inspection plate thats on top of our tranys. Most of these dont have that plate or another return possibility place. Otherwise this is why most of these aftermarket loader installs are simply cut into the pressure line just back from the pump making the loader valve a pressurized unit when the 3 pt is operated or at that "magic point on the draft control" rather than flow thru with PB setup.

That is my understanding of it anyway and Hoye says it is ok and so does Koyker and that is my issue with them they had an attitude twords me about the whole PB on Yanmars when I called for advice.

Picture updates I hope:
Well here's the attempt at posting pictures using Picasa as recommended by Domush. Banner Red was not a match to any of the aged colors I have but it should keep it from rusting and it adds character.

Steve

Well I have links but not the neat thumbnails. What's the trick to that?

Very well done! One decal to scrape off and it could pass as factory installed.

Looks great!

Wish you took a bunch more in-progress photos, so those of us who aren't as fabrication and hydraulic inclined could learn how you went about doing it.

I appreciate the compliments. Thanks to everyone who offered advice along the way. The forum was a lot of help with advice on the hydraulics and info on other mounts.
I also rebuilt both front drive hub assemblies earlier and didn't think to take pictures. I have some pins and bosses to repair on the loader some day, maybe I'll remember to take pics then! I always think about the camera after it is too late.

very neat /clean job:thumbsup: Did you plumb the hydraulics in series with the 3 pt with the return line or did you add a return line to sump & power the 3 pt. with PB ?
