I am new here and have been reading up on Yanmar tractors in hopes of purchaseing one. going look at a 2210d with 644 hours, they have owned it for 12 years and now wanting to sale because they bought a larger tractor.Tractor comes with a 4 ft. box scraper and a yanmar tiller that has not been used in a long time. all for $4200, pictures of the tractor looks very good. Will be makeing a garden about 1/2 acre. Can someone on here give me some advise if the tractor is worth the price and if it will be good for that size garden. Thanks for any help and for haveing a site with alot of information.

Sounds like a good price to me.. Of course, always offer less $$$... It should be more than capable to handle your 1/2 acre garden spot..

Be sure to check it over to make sure everything works ok

The tiller is worth a good $500+ here in East Texas, box blade $350 or so. That leaves $3350 a 22pto horsepower 4 wheel drive tractor. I would consider that a good buy if in good shape.

I'm looking at paying $6100 for a newly reconditioned YM2210D. Also, around here used tillers are going for at least $800. I agree, it's a good deal as long as the tractor is in pretty good mechanical shape.

Look it over well. These are near indestructible but there's always the odd abused machine.

He has come down on price and added the tiller.
He sent me close up pictures of the engine compartment ,all looks good. will see it at noon today. [will bring a trailer with me, may have to give it a ride] Thanks guys

If its ok that's a great price and somebody will buy it immediately. Don't hesitate.

If you find minor stuff like rotted muffler or seat, just figure them into your total cost and it will still be a good buy.

I would pay $500 for one in a heartbeat, and I might pay $800. At least around here (unfortunately) $800 is definitely not too much. There are more people posting "Looking for a 3-pt tiller" on Craigslist than there are people selling them.

Just got back home with the tractor. didn't buy the tiller ,it was very bad looking.[don't need trouble]. paid $4000 with a box scraper with no picks. got a manual with it but will have to settle at looking at just pictures. Tractor looks in very good condition with Jap decals.he owned it for 10 years and put 150 hours in that time. looks like it has never been reconditioned[taken apart]. I have restored cars and trucks and can tell when something has been worked on. front axel gear oring seal needs to be replaced and that won't be much to it. no blow by at all. lights, horn, and signal all work, tires look new, also has a spring loaded shock absorber seat :thumbsup:

Agreed. I don't recall EVER seeing one that nice in this area. It's probably just as well; I would buy one on principle. (The principle of me not having one like that, of course! :laughing The only 2210 I remember wasn't 4 wheel drive, and was in that ballpark or higher, and much rougher.

You have a nice tractor there. Good job.

If you don't know. I would perform this maint. & you should be good for 500 hrs or each season. Just performed my maint. today... O' since you added the pics. I guess you get to stay:thumbsup:

Mike the man i bought it from is a amsoil distrubutor[spelling]he changed all the oil and put synthetic throughout engine and drivetrain.
