ym226d parts question

Hello.
Brand new to the forums as I am a brand new tractor owner and I have questions please bare wih my lack of knowledge. I just purchased a nice tractor and I am going through the maintance procedure for it because the previous owner didnt up keep it. I have changed the oil and fluids and filters. I have the manual so I can trouble shoot some stuff. heres my questions

I need a altenator belt for it, is there a part number I can cross for like a napa auto store?

The belt is real loose and adjusted all the way out, I do not get any charge to the battery so I figured I would start there then work my way to altenator and regulator, I hope it is just loose belt because I bet I woudnt beable to get these items , or atleast at a reasonable price.

Bob, The belt should be replaced if there is no more adjustment, but because there is so little adjustment you have to get the exact size, and that is hard to do, other than a Yanmar belt. If you are not getting any charging, I would bet the voltage regulator needs replacing. Seldom do the alternators go bad.
I have Yanmar fanbelts and both Yanmar and aftermarket voltage regs. Contact me for prices.

Just go to the auto parts & buy a belt 1 or 2 sizes smaller than you have now.That will get you a belt that is close to what you need.

Yes I just talked to a buddy of mine at a autoparts store and he looked up the yanmar 226d in his computer and found a belt number, who knows he might be right.
