I got my tractor back from Mobiltech yesterday, Tuesday 05-20-2025. It’s running fine!

I unloaded it this morning and looked it over very good.
I noticed it had an oil leak coming from the hydraulic valve under the seat. No big deal, it looks like it’s only the Wiper Seal.

I emailed Danny at Fredricks stating what was going on, and asked for the needed parts. I gave him all the part numbers to make it easy for him to look up. I stated that I could do the repair myself and at no labor charge to Fredricks.
I also requested a new Rubber Control Lever Knob for the 3pt. Lift Handle because it was split into. I also requested a can of Spruce Green Spray Paint so I could touch-up the paint in a few spots. The red and white paint on the tractor is fine, to my satisfaction.

He quickly replied back and said he would get everything out to me. Talk about service!!
I just received an invoice from Bruce in the Shipping Department of the invoice with all the requested parts.

As of now, I am pleased with Fredricks Equipment. To date, they have made everything right. Their Customer Support and Service has been second to none. It was a $900 labor bill they had to pay to my local tractor repair shop to have the timing cover changed on the front of the engine.
Also as of now, I can honestly say I would buy another gray market Yanmar from them. The next one will have a loader though.

Carey,

I received the paint and touched-up work on the tractor. I think it came out great for a rattle can! The color was a perfect match.

Here is a short video of my YM2500 after the new engine was replaced and after I touched it up with the green paint that Fredricks sent. The tractor is running absolutely perfect! All I have to do now is replace the oil seal in the hydraulic control valve. I plan on doing that little task either tomorrow or Tuesday. Fredricks sent me the oil seal, rubber o-ring, control valve gasket, and the 2 copper washers for the oil supply line that bolts to the top of the control valve.

My First Yanmar was the Ym2000 which was all Org. and still is. I can see your YM2500 Has been Refurbished. Which there was a YM2500 Fredricks same dealer also. Looked Identical!! You had more to touch up than I did. Not perfect match to Org. in color but it did what I needed it for. Believe I still have it and wasn't much to touch it up! Side of the Eng. block Etc.. I wasn't that worried about it just didn't want it to get worse! I noticed this not long ago. Tiller was repainted with it and was a perfect match

I painted the muffler and exhaust manifold with a can of Rust-Oleum High Heat Flat Black Ceramic Coating that’s good up to 2000° Fahrenheit. I am pleased with how it turned out. I need another can of Green and 1 can of Red spray paint to finish touching up.

No more leaks!

I got the seal replaced in the hydraulic control valve this morning and installed a new base o-ring, 2 new copper washers for the oil supply line, and a new gasket. I also sprayed the gasket with copper gasket spray, that my mechanic recommended to do. 👍🏻

I ended up having to remove the control valve to replace the seal, but if you have the correct size wrench or a small crescent wrench, it most certainly could be done without having to remove the control valve. It was easier for me to just go ahead and remove the control valve because I didn’t have a big enough wrench for the seal holder.

I think the painted muffler came out good too.

I still have some green & red touch-up paint left to do.

Looks brand new! Congratulations.

All the best, Peter

I was looking Yesterday at the muffler. I have some spots showing again. Normal though and I knew I was getting my D.Gen. Dollars worth of Blk. spray paint anyways. Seen the Rust oleum pics. and I'm going to be looking for it. Hopefully it will show up local but I'm sure other brands of the same High Temp. is available. Worst case find it online. It's not that bad at all. Stays under a carport.

***UPDATE 05-30-2025 Friday***

At my request, Fredricks sent me another can of Green spray paint, a can of Red spray paint, a new seat, a new shift knob, new seat bushings and rubber dampers, a new rubber knob for the hydraulic lift handle, and new “Caution Decals” to place on the tractor. I now have all the paint touched-up on the tractor, to my satisfaction. Waiting on 1 more decal to arrive so I can place it on the PTO shield.

At this point, unless something catastrophic happens, I won’t be needing anything else for the tractor. A little later on, I’ll probably upgrade the fuse block from Brand M Parts.

Fredricks Equipment in Hartselle, Alabama has been absolutely AWESOME towards me in backing up their product after the sale.
I highly recommend talking with Danny Speakman there.
I would definitely buy another Yanmar from them (not anytime soon), but the next one will have a front end loader.
