He better watch out. He lives in Taxachusetts where they probably have a law against owning that many guns. Heck, Massachusetts requires that you get photographed and fingerprinted (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) just to get a hunting license.

JimR, I don't have a problem with a firearm display like yours. Heck, it's something that's pretty neat to show off. But if it's not in a room that can be locked, or you don't have an alarm system for your house, then you're asking for trouble. </font><font color="blueclass=small">

Yea... breaking in most modern homes is way easier than it should be. There are some around here that thieves can break into without even using a tool. There are many homes around these parts that have vinyl siding, but underneath that is only the blue styrofoam insulation, then the wall studs and fiberglass. Pop the siding apart, punch a hole through the blue board with their fist and they're in.

Most other houses don't keep their crawlspace locked. Yank out a floor vent from underneath, peek around, then make the hole a skoch larger with a keyhole saw and you're in. Nice and private down there too in case they make noise, the neighbors won't hear.

My wife has a nasty evil cat thing that is WAAAAY scarier than any claymore. One boom and that thing is over and done. The evil cat thing would drag it out.

I don't have to worry about my wife fooling around on me in my own house. Any man that sits any piece of clothing down gets it poo'ed on. I'm going to sneak him off to a Chinese restaurant one of these days.

Absolutely...along with the right to own, comes an equally important responsibility.

I've never been a fan of discussing what I own or where it's kept in a public forum, but I will offer this little tidbit...if you're looking for an excellent alternative to storing a loaded weapon in your nightstand drawer, R&D Enterprise's Handgun Boxes are top notch.

With the Simplex lock, access is incredibly fast, even in the dark. Unlike other handgun safe locking mechanisms, Simplex locks require no batteries or keys - something I can't imagine trusting in a moment of need.

The construction is phenomenal for such a small safe; no way a casual thief is going to get in with a prybar, as with cheaper designs. If you cross secure it in a corner (i.e. lagged into the studs at a wall junction), it's next to impossible to remove with the typical tools a burglar has on their person.

Highly recommended...I've looked at a ton of secure handgun storage options, and haven't seen anything that's more secure, easier/quicker to access, or built of the same quality.

Mostly military and anything else that stikes my fancy like this one. M1A National Match. By the way, You wouldn't get far trying to go over the walls.

.380 properly placed in the middle of the chest will not go thru, but it will stop dead anyone that it hits. If you are going to load 2 and 2 and 2 your thought process is flawed, as the second or third set could do what you are worried about happening anyway.

Also, if you are going to shoot an intruder, you better make sure they can not tell a lie afterwards, or YOU will be charged with a crime. Dont you love our laws and the lawyers
