This is what I used to drag my arena and also to level out my horse pasture and turn the manure into the soil.
I prefer square bales.
On the subject of roundbales.... they can be used, just be sure to have horse quality round bales and inspect them personally. Make sure to spread them out or use a covered off-the-ground gazebo style feeder to avoid respiratory or intestinal issues.
I always say to error on the side of caution and when in doubt, throw it out.
