I was bush-hogging today, went across a wet area, it turned out to be wetter than I thought. I hubbed the tractor up, bottomed it out.

Fortunately, I had a friend with a 4x4 truck with mudgrip tires. After some yanking and banking and unhooking the bush-hog, we got it out just before dark.

It was such a muddy mess (think Alabama red clay), I had to break out the pressure washer to take care of it before sticking it back in the garage.

I'm exhausted and bored so I decided to post.

Have a good evening,

Great memory, I swear some of you guys remember what people had for breakfast the second Thursday of the fourth month. Either great memory, or too much time on your hands looking at posts;) Either way, it's all good.

Yeah, I've only had the tractor out 5-6 times (actually working ;) ) and I have been hubbed-up twice. My odds are terrible. I'm quickly figuring out that 4x4 only means that when you get stuck, you are REALLY stuck. haha

No pics this time, it was getting dark and I was in a hurry to get her free. I should have taken some though. The left rear was about 1/2 under, the front left was the same. Right side was on "harder" stuff, but not by much.

Got major rains coming in today/tonight. I didn't want it to sink in the quagmire.

Eggs - over easy on lightly toasted oat nut bread slathered with hot sause and pepper (no salt), three spicy sausage patties and 4 cups of strong coffee cream and sugar.

So, the tractor is out 6 times and you are doing the belly bounce on 2 of them? (cool) Have you considered that it may be a tad too moist to be out tractoring right now? Just a thought...

Pretty dang close on the breakfast!

I waited 1.5 months (very little rain in this timeframe) to go back into the area near where I was hung-up before...guess it wasn't long enough. The sad thing is it looked solid on top, below that, it was muck. Next time, I'll drive it with my atv first.

I took a ton of abuse from my wife, she's doubting my tractoring skills now. I told her it's been a very, very long time, but it's like riding a bike, it all comes back. I got "that look:rolleyes: " and hands on hips...I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Here's a question for you guys: What's the "cut-off" (pun intended) for the size of small trees you'll bush-hog with 24-25 hp pto?
