You Know You Are Old When

Cheapskate that I am I still pick pennies up off the ground. I just got done rolling change.
Haven't rolled change in years, kind of a PITA to do and always seem to get a dirty look from the teller at the bank when I cash them in. I'll just use a Coinstar machine. They'll take something like 9% if you want cash, but you get full value with a gift card...I'll just go with Amazon, figure I'll use it soon enough.

Not necessarily even that old. Wasn't 'til the late 80s that touchtone dialing was available where I lived.
I believe it was the mid 70’s when touch tone dialing became available here. It cost $1 extra per month which my dad refused to pay. One supplier for his store required a touch tone phone for ordering, so he gets a Radio Shack phone that could be switched between tone & pulse (rotary style) dialing. Take that Ma Bell 😆

I was about to post the same thing! Haven't seen it since it was new 25 years ago, so not sure how it holds up today, but remembered it being fun at the time.

I might have to watch it tonight !

You kidding? First, we move the couch, TV, and beer fridge to the garage. I'll be right over, call the pizza guy now.

Still have rotary dial corded phone in the shop
I took my parents' old mustard yellow wall-mounted rotary phone from the house where we lived in the mid-1970's, and mounted it in my old shop in the late 1990's. A nice bit of nostalgia, but became a problem with automated receptionists... "press 1 for English". :D

We also had a Country Junction style phone in the kitchen, but Sarah didn't answer anymore, when we turned the hand crank. I converted it from local battery to common battery use.
