Same. We have 8 TVs, and still use two for streaming, but haven’t actually watched on-air tv in years. Most of them haven’t even been turned on in 2-3 years, and will be removed when we get around to redoing the rooms in which they’re installed.I have not turned on the TV once this year for on air or streaming…
Was at a friends and couldn’t get over the seemingly non stop commercials… has the percentage of air time for commercials increased?
Tommy Shaw lived in Niles, MI when I was in high school. Many local encounters. Always came across as a good person.Yeah, I felt kinda bad naming Styx. I know they're often credited as a girly version of that genre, the starting tangent to what became "hair metal", but I admittedly do like some of their songs.![]()
When we dropped out land line, I transferred the number to an old iPhone I had laying around, forwarded that number to my cell number, and turned the old iPhone off. The only ones that call my land line number are my mother in-law (out of habit), our oldest kid (out of nostalgia) and one of my siblings (old habits never dies).Growing up the TV was often on in the background and the news always on fixing dinner.
My latest, at the friends, had me thinking what happened with all the wall to wall commercials?
This month cancelled my parents 60+ year SF Chronicle subscription at $108 per month and with shrinking size it no longer made sense.
The last 3 years it’s like one increase after another.
I would have kept it at half the price… now I’m often not up to speed on local news.
Landline next? $82 a month just to have…
Went to buy Magic Jack yesterday to keep the same phone number but learned no longer carried in store contrary to Walmart website last I looked… first time in years inside Walmart…
