You Know You Are Old When

Almost fell over dead when I read about him in today’s newspaper, and he will be doing a concert nearby.

Reminds me not to judge others age until I look in the mirror…

He's got some kind of disease and his hands aren't functioning the way he wants them to. So see him if you can, before it's too late.

No way in a million years would I have ever have guessed him right.

He looks more like Wojohowitz (sp?) from Barney Miller…

We saw him about 6-8yrs ago in a 3k seat venue. Thoroughly enjoyed it as I've always been a fan. He did stand for the concert IIR. I've also seen him online, fb maybe in an interview. He certainly had a bit more hair in the 70's.

edit: it was actually 11.5 yrs ago.

The impression I got from the newspaper article was that he just loves doing it, and he understands that time isn’t on his side.

If tickets aren’t like 200 or 300 bucks each, I just might talk my wife into going.

I remember as a young lad in the early 70's how it seemed that every other boy was related to Daniel Boone.

I was related to Daniel Boone but that was 5 generations back and is not too unusual. If he had 3 kids and if every generation since had 3, by the time they got to my generation, there would be 729 kids related to him directly. Back then many familys had 5 or 10 kids so the number might be much higher.

I'm probably related to Daniel Boone, but may have to go back 100 or so generations, not worth trying to research the family tree IMO as there is limited info on the family tree from Squire Sr. Boone and his wife

I'm just glad my family tree starts in Eastern Europe in the 1900's, and not as a native Amercian (AKA indian).

I wonder how people knew they were related to someone that lived 300 yrs in the past? There were online research services so I believe it was make believe by the parents or grandparents.
I've had 3 people say they were part native american and once I did the research for them found nothing in their bloodline even though they were raised to believe it.
